Well I have heard of people downloading regular adult porn that also allegedly had listings with childporn on it. Crazy stuff...

This is good and bad. Peer 2 Peer file sharing has many legitimate used and is used legitimately in many circumstances. But, I don;t know the specifics of the case. was Limewire deliberately encouraging people to download copyrighted materials ? Effectively this could spell the death of numerous legitimate means of sharing legitimate software. In any event , the RIAA has the bucks so they'll prevail in court.
From my own experiences most of these file sharing services are merely shams for porn, warez, and other illegal crap. Bust them all and shut em down i say. On the other hand I say, let em live. can't make up my mind here.

Any form of porn downloading is disgusting. I hate people who provide porn over the Internet. For me the Internet is a research tool, not an "entertainment" tool.

The days of illegal filesharing are numbered. The RIAA is winning out although I think they have a ridiculous chokehold over the prices of music these days. But if I go with any filesharing service, I might go with iTunes. At least I won't have to worry as much about viruses these questionable services like LimeWire have.

Porn is just about the only business that made money from day one on the Internet. It's also been a driving force behind DVD and Blue-Ray video technologies.
As an aside, I can't count the number of malware infested machines I've had to deal with that had LimeWire installed.

Too many virii, circa 2001...I learned my lesson about that time from kazza. I quit doing P2P, loads up the machine with crap. It wasn't worth the effort sanitizing do D'L a few songs. It was easier to pay 99 cents.

You're not seriously saying that posting here on the Island isn't entertainment, are you?

Hello.
Limewire is kind of neat but unneeded.
Peer to peer means just that. ;)

FTP and IRC anyone?
Just say no to free porn. If you have the lust, and must... subscribe. DUH!
Like going to Nevada, it's tested, and reasonably safe.

Vuze rocks, in general. They seem to want to turn it into pay software, though.

for a long while, though, many pr0nographers didn't want to distribute on blu-ray: licensing costs were high and editing for the denser format is more difficult (because, really, who wants to see a junkie's skin pores?)

Although I'm advancing my education with this contraption, I also use it for less than honorable purposes. Namely, ENTERTAINMENT.
