Are lap tops the new monster under the bed? Back in my day, we had real monsters like LSD and Black Pete.

What's Black Pete?

A "toy" that takes 3 lantern batteries and a quart of astroglide to operate :wtf:

Originally from Spainlore, Black Pete was the guy who would come over at Christmas and kidnap you if you did not behave all year long. He was the somewhat antithesis of Santa Claus or Father Christmas as they say over there (Papa Noel).

That's the "Junior" model. The full model uses a Harley motor and requires a 55 gallon drum of Astroglide for safe operation. I suggest that you spring for the "Deluxe" version--it comes with electric start.

Santa Claus and black Pete, Dutch festivities.

Actually we have Sinterklaas, with Black Pete, or zwarte piet, and the Christmas man Kerstman.
You adopted our Santaclaus for Xmas, and we imported your deranged "Kerstman" here, so we actually have 2 parties to do, 5th of December and 1st Xmas day.

Eat that :yum:

The simple solution to this "problem" is to not place a laptop on one's lap...

Eat that :yum:My daughter still misses that. She went to the village school in Terschuur for a year and could speak Dutch with her friends very well. She lived for the holiday season.

Around and round went the monstrous wheel
And in and out went the [] of steel.

The whole freaquin' issue was run by steam.

Man...they just don't make college drinking songs like that anymore. Matter of fact, they don't make toys like that either!
