Just received this from the ARRL CO Section Manager.
-----------------------------
All:
It is with deep sadness that I report the passing of Glenn Schultz,
WØIJR. Glenn became a silent key on Saturday, October 23rd after a
sudden illness.
Glenn was first licensed in 1952 and has served the Colorado Amateur
Radio community for over 25 years as the co-founder of the Mile Hi VE
Team and as a member of the ARRL Colorado Section cabinet. Countless
hams have been licensed under his watchful eye and countless others
have become better operators under his guidance. Glenn was especially
fond of 6 meters-- where he met Karen, KAØCDN, his XYL of nearly 30
years. Glenn and Karen have together been a fixture within the Denver
area Amateur Radio community since the mid 80's and Glenn's absence
will be deeply felt. Out thoughts are with Karen and with Glenn's many
friends at this difficult time.
Following Glenn's wishes, there will be no funeral. Letters of
condolence can be sent to Karen at 15643 E 35th Pl, Aurora, CO 80011.
