Had enough of today alright.
- Started off with the Mystery Machine gushing coolant before 7 AM.
- Spent the rest of the morning rushing to appointments where only half the people showed up.
- Was greeted with the pleasantry of "the wrong order" at lunch.
-Afternoon?? Well... how the hell do people seriously shop for stuff when they don't know what they want?? And that pillow... it ain't helpin' you at all. Besides, you're sick as a dog and you ain't helping the rest of us by spreading your infectious sputum all over the city. Please come back when you're well.

-Yep, a Five Star, Four Letter Day.

I'll probably have the "happy hour" avatar up this evening, and that's a warning.

Join Charles and me down at the fishing dock. You're late already, and I'm still working on yesterday. ;)

Join Charles and me down at the fishing dock. You're late already, and I'm still working on yesterday. ;)

Is there room for me on that dock? I've been running around all day getting stuff done on my pickup--smog certificate, registration, a pair of tires--to the tune of $400. I need a beer or six.

Sounds like some of the days I've had recently. Here's to your tomorrow being way better than today was.

Come on down, everyone! Charles has the bar running, and there's never a tab.

My yesterday AM was weird. I usually leave for work about 5 AM. Had a Netflix disk to drop off at the PO; NBD. Before I got there, I realized that I forgot to take the trash out, so had to double back and do that. Then, on to the PO, where I got behind someone who takes the same route through the parking lot to get to the main street. That's never happened before, and this person was observing the stop signs in the parking lot. AT 5AM!. Got to the major intersection where I normally turn North (because my normal route is under construction) and the police had my left turn shut down with a major roadblock. (Hello.) What I found as an alternate route was suboptimal and full of 25MPH construction zones. Arrived at work about 25 minutes lat(er than normal). The police thing was a double-fatal accident, according to the news. Linky. (http://www.kdvr.com/news/kdvr-fed-hts-drunk-crash-txt,0,3500011.story) Got to work and in my usual 6 AM meeting with a compatriot, a panel of lights in his office died. Shouldn't that be a sign that staying in bed might have been the better choice?

Rest of the day went okay, but it sure started out with some entertainment.

Yup! We've pretty well written tomorrow off already in favor of just getting shit-faced on the beach. It's time. Bring some girlies if you want - we promise they'll be safe.:lol:

Please come back when you're well.

There's a sign right at eye level on the glass door of my hand surgeon's office which reads:
If you have the flu or are ill with coughing and sneezing do not enter, be considerate of others, go home and get well before returning.

It's only when you get inside do you see the sign that reads:
$25 fee for missing your appt without at least 24 hour notice.

My dermatologist's & the endodontist office I visit has a sign:
Some patients and staff have allergies to cologne and perfume, please be considerate of others and do not enter if you are a user of these products.

OK doc! No sweat, I have a whole pack of handy wipes in my car.

I think if you stand those guys up it's a $40 fee.

Rest of the day went okay, but it sure started out with some entertainment."The coroner will conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death".

Well, duh! I predict the coroner's findings will be "unrestrained occupants had uncontrolled flight into solid object, caused by retro-cranial inversion due to overuse of alcohol".

Good god man...I haven't seen mallo cups since the 60s.
Used to save the mallo money and get freebies.

Corona, ack. I won't drink the stuff--might as well just drink Lucky Lager, which is cheaper and tastes about the same.
