Was prepping an estate for auction tomorrow and among the stuff that we do not sell (due to tax complications and local laws) are the contents of the liquor cabinet. So if the executor of the estate does not want it, we kindly find the booze a home. Get some interesting stuff from time to time.

Tonight I brought home a bottle of Suntory Royal Japanese Whiskey. It is an older bottle, about half full. Tried some and while it is not the greatest stuff I have ever had it is far from the worst. Tried to look up some info on the stuff and cannot find much on the Royal version.

Also brought home a bottle of Volcano Winery Macadamia Nut and Honey Wine. Will save that for when we have company over.

Now to get some sleep. Got to get up early and finish setting up for the auction.

Was that the whiskey that Bill Murray was hawking in Lost in Translation?

I recently tried a Japanese single malt and, while it was a good scotch, it seemed...somehow...immature. Didn't have the smoothness of a Glenlivet.
