I'm guessing that she was buried under a pile of her own, horde.

That's like the two girls that had a big stash of money. When one of them was asked if she hoarded all that money herself, she replied "No my sister whored half of it".

"For our dogs to go through that house and not find something should be indicative of the tremendous environmental challenges they faced,"

..... I'm trying to imagine just how bad "conditions" were that dogs could'nt locate this woman's body in that house.... boggles the mind really... :yuck:

I doubt if the bloodhounds could imagine the smell until they pulled her out feet first...

The husband finally found her when he saw her feet.

I knew a single older woman who lived alone who was the heir to a food packaging company. She lived in an enormous mansion that was packed with all top quality high end stuff that was decades old, no stink though.
She passed away and left everything to a friend of mine's mother.

I know that smell only too well..Many years ago a pair of intellectually disabled men were on a bus trip from the hospital...They disappeared into the bush at a picnic site and all efforts and search parties failed to find them...I was with a group of State Emergency Service personal doing a further search a month after these guys had absconded and we came upon them in a gully, both long dead and obviously had been clinging together confused until they starved to death....We were present when the ambo's and police removed the bodies...They had to roll them over to get them on to body bags..In the 40C summer heat these two guys were virtually alive crawling with blowfly larvae ..Only their clothes were holding anything intact...Now, to get a whiff of that was enough to put us all off food for a long time...I know that every time I even thought about this incident afterward I used to throw up...Took a long time to get over it..:vomit:...
