Whoa!

And I was going to quip "... it would be an improvement over his current living arrangements" but not after reading that story...

He'd better be thankful his neighborhood isn't infested with these:

Golden Orb Weaver:

Also known as a banana spider or giant woodsman.

Pacific island natives use their webs to make fish snares - they're that strong.

I have an odd fondness for arachnids. Generally when they enter my house I let them be. Most of the time they never bother me. They generally find a nice quiet out of the way corner and are actually beneficial as they trap ants, flies, mosquito, and other pests. In the event a particular arachnid is too large or too frisky and moves about my workspace or sleeping quarters I will usually trap them and place them outside.

It certainly would be hell, for the spiders.

Me, too. I trap them between a rolled up newspaper and some solid object, and they go out with the trash.

I figured the outcome was probably an eight legged newspaper.

Well, that is the quickest and easiest way to get rid of them but, I don't believe in killing anything for no reason. The way I see it all creatures, large and small have a right to live. Just as I wouldn't want some larger creature to smash me to death for doing no wrong so I feel I have no inherent right to kill anything that is not directly threatening me or anyone else. With regards to insects I generally trap them and release them outside and send them on their way through life.Years ago when i was in college I had a girl friend who was not so nice. She believed that the right to life of any small insect ended under the soles of her shoes. She would stomp them and twist her foot on them to mash them up good, and then make jokes about it.. She was crude in that way and she could never appreciate my sense of ethics.

This girl smashed John's heart between a rolled up newspaper and a solid object... and made him take out the trash.

Sigh. Young Love.

the thing i wonder about is whether he's bullshitting or not. he calls his wife Sister Mary Eggroll and then whines when she's not interested in specific sorts of congress. the only positive thing in his life are the cats!
