yes. you didn't say if you were using macos 9 or macos x ... you should be able to go to www.getfirefox.com and get the version that will work on your platform.

Personally, I use Safari, even on my Windows boxes.

I use Firefox on both my Intel and PowerPC G4 Macs with nary a hiccup. Safari is also installed but I find that Safari does not play well with certain web sites I visit.
