Likewise. If we can get enough of us together we can raid a restaurant in style.

Don't let this out too widely but the 15th is her birthday. Last year I took her out to what we thought was gonna be a cool little Mexican place not far from our hotel. The food was less than spectacular, as was the service. Tumbleweed at Rt 48 is going to be within spitting distance of our motel, and we always stop there on our drive home.

You know of any good eateries in your neck of the woods - besides Cracker Barrel? After 'DSG lit into an ignorant a$$hat of a waitress a few years back I doubt we're welcome there any longer...

301? What's Jericho Print?

Which area of HARA is it in?
[Edit: Never mind, found it on the map... Silver Arena, just to the right of the exit from the "audio arena" where Heil usually is... that's the ramp that goes from the actual HARA arena into the Silver. Over by Forum 1/4 room as well]

And how many cases of Ramen can we stash for Pat and the Black Widows there? (sounds like a 50's or 60's pop rock group)

I'll definitely be seeing you guys at some point... if for no other reason, I need to stop at Vibroplex, and they're over in 303 & 304. I haven't seen Scott in a few years, and I'm sure he's going to want me to buy a new key to go along with the Omni VI+ I just got my hands on!

Treat yourself, Ron. They take Plastic Fantastic at the Vibro booth:

Like Avon at a hamfest except, they want to make your QSL cards smell better. With ink.

Oh kay...

I was asking because years ago, I purchased a couple of reams of perforated card stock from a flea market vendor. Never ran into the guys since; was hoping that they (or someone like them) would be back this year.

Now if I had clicked on the link to that image file shown at the bottom of the message, I'd'a had my answer. So, are we debuting the official IOMH T-Shirt and Polo Shirt at Hamvention this year?

Avery makes the perforated stock:
http://www.discountofficeitems.com/office-supplies/paper-pads/cards-stationery/postcards/avery-print-edge-postcard/p1966.html?kwid=b3887c194beb4cc8a029e98c73d18ac0&sku=AVE8386

Pretty pricey though. I've done limited run QSL's on plain card stock before -- the heavy paper is pretty cheap and if you have access to a paper cutter, it's about as easy as the perforated stock.

That's why I'm looking into alternative sources.

The paper cutter is fine on small runs. The last time I tried that... well, I had just made a few hundred QSO's in a DX contest, and I printed a card for everyone. The paper cutter gets old REAL fast that way, believe me!

That's not bad. QSL Paper is a touch more expensive (but not by much), and you get 125 sheets (500 cards) per pack; but the perforations are different. OTOH, with the perforations centered on the cardstock, it will actuall be easier to figure out the alignment for Publisher to print.

Either way, and this is a good thing, either of these choices are closer to "standard" QSL size than the Avery post card format is. Which means I could stop buying the (hard to find) #12 envelopes, and go back to #10 for mailing & #9 for return envelopes.

Thanks for the tip. If I don't find anything comparable this weekend, I'll place an order with one or the other of these guys.

I stopped by a few times, but you guys were quite busy (and that's a good thing) so I didn't interupt business.

No go on finding cardstock anywhere at Hamvention, so I went ahead this morning and ordered on pack of 125 sheets from QSL Paper, aka Harvest America Inc. BTW it's on sale right now, $18.95 instead of $24.90

I almost ordered two packs, but I figured I should try one first and see if I like it. Funny thing, if you order two packs, UPS Ground is the cheapest shipping method about about $3 (to me, of course), but with one pack, USPS Priority Mail is cheaper (by about $2). Of course, YMMV, but I did find that interesting.
