Looks like the auction got pulled by eBay? :chin:

It seems to happen regularly. I listed an amp for a silent key widow once and had the listing pulled by eBay because all "charity" auctions must be for their approved charities only!?

I unloaded on an eBay rep over it and got a free listing out of the deal. :D

Well sports fans, we now know that a NOS NIB HRO-W is worth $3,750. :chin:

Uh, change that, we know that some people in this world will pay that much.

That will look real good with a $5000 ranger.

A radio that has sat, unused, in a crate for 55 years?

I'd be afraid to ever actually use it, at this point.

At which point what good is it? Reminds me of the time I bought a few ARRL handbooks from the 30's. They were wrapped in plastic and I opened them. The guy that sold them to me about shit a brick. My response was, "You didnt think that I was gonna buy it and not read it did you?" Actually I bought a 1935, 1937, 1941, 1952, and a few from the 70's that day. The damn '35 cost me as much as 1970-2005 (32$).

I'm a bit compulsive, I want one of every year. Normally you can pickup anything from the 70's-about '00 for 1$. Seems the 40's-50's go for about 2-10$. Anything older tends to vary by year or so has been my experience at hamfests.

Those from the 50's and 60's are my favorite. I just love the ads section. :)

In the 60's & 70's, there was an advertiser in QRZ &/or 73 that had a tall blonde named Ample Annie as a "mascot". She was in the same class as Wicked Wanda. Ever come across her?
