Pics look good and correct, paperwork seems correct. By golly, I think it is a NOS EAC R-390A from 1977!
This one is gonna be soooooo much fun to watch, 8+ days left in a 10 day auction and it's already at $1,575!
Think that's rich?

Seems to be a fishing expedition, since it says to call for a better price.

Oh well, I like nice clean gear and will pay a small premium for that condition. This NOS NIB, "museum quality" thing has gone wild in the last few years, it's ridiculous.
Vintage gear that really is NOS NIB is not in a useable condition, time has taken it's toll, even though having never powered up.
I lost out on a very rare and very nice T-631/GRC-14 Marine Corps xmitter once that was the companion to my R-808/GRC-14 rcvr. Later I ask the seller who had outbid me and it turned out to be a military museum. So I guess some buyers really don't care about "operational condition" and are only interested in "cosmetic condition".
I'd bet the old deed to the farm that we could make a list of the top 5-10 ham bidders we know of from eBay and that this R-390A is headed to one of their homes.

Joe Walsh?
He bought a "New, NOS" Drake TR-7 outfit a few years ago for ~$3100. Rig, P/S, speaker, VFO and a couple other bits - including an AK75 antenna - never used or opened.

Rod Serling would be proud of this one, it has entered the Twilight Zone now.
$5,100 and there's still 5 days left on the auction. I had thought the auction might end in the $5K area.
This is wild.

Wild ended at 3K. This is nuts.
Current high bidder has a 28 feedback. Relative newcomer?

That didn't last. The current high bidder at $5,350 has a feedback of 927, so he's an old pro.
An "old pro" that has lost his freaking mind!
