Anyone ever seen one of these?
I found it on QTH,and was all over it.
I've been looking for a keyer for my older rigs, and just fell in love with this one.

Testing the Island file uploader thingy.

Down at the bottom of the message editor, where it says "Upload Attachment" you can browse to your local hard drive and attach the file that way. If it's a picture file, it will show up like this:

Go back to your first post, Mike, and use the "Edit" button.

While in the editor, scroll down to the "Upload attachment" section. Use the "Browse" button to browse your local machine for the file, then hit the "Submit" button.

Since the file is a jpg, the board will see it as an image, so after the upload is complete, put your cursor in your message where you want the image to appear (you may have to hit the enter key to create a blank line or two), then scroll down and use the "Insert Image" button.

You can use "Preview" to make sure it looks like you want, and when finished, hit the "Submit" button.

It's pretty easy after you do it a couple of times!

You probably have some sort of image utility that will re-size that picture. That will make the file size smaller, as can lowering the "quality" setting on a JPEG (.jpg) file.

If you want, try IrfanView. :agree: http://www.irfanview.com/

Or Gimp, if you want to use something that works in Windows and Linux.

You can also put images up on the net at a variety of image hosting sites, and just link to it.

I never have ... cool looking keyer! Does it have a jack to plug in a different set of paddles?

Think I've seen one before -- vintage late 70's, maybe?

There have been a few keyer/paddle combos like that. The old Heathkit version was quite popular for awhile.

I don't know Luke,it hasn't arrived yet.
It would be cool if it did though.

Something about the look just caught my eye,and I had to have it.

I wanted something like it for my old FT-102,and Omni V.
The rest of my rigs have built in keyers.

I cut my teeth on a Ten Tec Keyer that looked much like this one.
My goal is to get back to 30+ WPM again.
I haven't been on CW for a while.

If anybody wants to play with a little QRS CW... you betcha.

Did someone say Ten Tec? Do you prefer the Orange or the Black Dot? :snicker:

Got a Pegasus, Omni-D Series B, Omni-D Series C, and a Delta II here. :agree:

Corsair is next, I like the original. Those 'lil Omni-D's slay me, such good receivers for being so simple.

Hey David,
Yes,mine looked a lot like the top one, except mine was more white and silver.
You could even use the orange dot on top as a straight key.

As for Ten Tec,I currently have an Orion II,Omni V,Scout, and 238 tuner.

Love my Ten Tecs.

Ooops, I fergot, I have two of their transverters...

The 2m to 6m, and an unbuilt NOS 10m to 2m that can (will) be tweaked for 220Mhz.

Do you know this website? http://www.tentecwiki.org/doku.php :agree:

The Katsumi keyer looks a lot like the old Heathkit HD-1410, maybe a Japanese clone?

I love the old Heathkits, along with the old Hallicrafters TO keyers.
