I'm sorry George. You'll have to point harder at what you're trying to tell me. I missed it whatever it is.
What I was trying to say is that the people of Iran are a pretty smart group, collectively speaking. Regardless of their system of government and sad excuse for leaders, the populace is pretty well educated, especially the newer generation. They still have enough faculties to apply their critical thinking skills whereas in this country that particular skill set is being eroded.
Well, thanks for going there. I guess.
Hello.
The USA attacked the WMD plant, only to discover that this was a dairy.![]()
I love America, all of it, North and South.
Most farmers I knew of had a piece of greasy pig hide hanging from a piece of twine in the stripping room to help coat and clean your hands with.
I don't know if they went back to stripping it in more than 3 grades since all the tax stuff started. didn't get any extra stripping in 3 grades than they did doing it 4.
usually it's just
1 tops (3 tip top leaves considered "Premium"
2 lugs (middle leaves sometimes split into 2 grades)
3 splines (bottom leaves)
Some farmer liked to bundle the leaves from each plant and tie it together with one of the leaves wrapped around one end to make the 100 pound bails look prettier.
Others just put it all in the bailing box, pressed it all down with a tractor jack setup and said fukkit......
If the tobacco was "house Burnt" they were generally screwed because it took even more tobacco to make weight on a bale.
if that was the case and you took the job bailing it by the pound instead of by the hour you generally fucked yourself.
Disreputable farmers have been known to pour water into the box while bailing to increase the weight, others have been known to throw in all kinds of things like dead baby pigs etc.....
of course some of the people can be real characters which helps pass the time...
I remember 1 guy in particular telling us a story about somebody bending over one of the local ho's in front of everybody in the stripping room and "pulling out a chili bean" which didn't go to well with me at the time since I had a pot of pinto's cooking on the wood stove used to heat the place....
knowing all this I still smoke like a freight train
Since it's been a while I wonder if they are getting more than 2 bucks a pound average on their bales??

Middle age is when you choose your cereal for the fiber, not the toy.
Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional
