just got up one of my anttenas (a20m zepp) the feedpoint is now about 40-50 feet in the air sloping down to nearest convent achor for the other end at about 15 feet hearing a alot better than when I had flat about 20 feet up, swr is smother too

is that the sort of preform change I should expect?

geting the unfed end up anywhere near that high would be rough . is it likely I realy notice a great inmprovement over the antnena as it stands now?

Getting it up 15 feet is a great improvement over draping it to the ground.

I wouldn't worry about that too much.
