Depends. A high octaine barleywine might last for 10 to 15 years tops.

The winning bidder showed up on eBay in June, and has bought a number of vinyl LPs, one Playboy magazine, and every auction he has won so far has been less than $30. He has received no feedback on this auction yet, so he has yet to pay the $$503,303.00 This is an interesting conundrum.

That bottle is long gone. Beer generally doesn't "age" like wine and is better the fresher it is, with some exceptions.
That beer is an interesting artifact, though.
