View Full Version : Are you a binge drinker?

Seems adults binge on beer, while teens drink too much of the hard stuff.
Guess I am safe. One beer every few days does not make the cut.

I think I have about 6 beers in a year holidays and birthdays about the extent of it.

I find this thread very DRY and depressing so far.
How about something cheerful like enough beer to float the Titanic?

By the definition given, I think it said if you EVER drink over 5 beers at a time you are a binge drinker, then hell yes! As I understand their definition, anyone who ever gets drunk is a binge drinker. I think they might be seeing a problem where one does not exist. If a person drinks too much on an infrequent basis, say a couple of times a year, the article pegs them as a binge drinker. As long as it doesn't involve DUI, spousal abuse, child abuse, eviction, losing your job, or etc. I say cut loose every once in a while. Nothing wrong with that at all, IMHO. Your mileage may vary.

Drinking problem? I think not ...
I drink ... I get drunk ... I fall down.
No problem.
:D
I only wish I could be an alcoholic. I just can't stomach enough to be one.
I am such the wimp.
Love those stout beers though.
Anyone ever have EKU 28? I could sometimes find it in Austin. Around Chicago, the more exotic beers are hard to find.

Not that I can remember.
However, I seem to go to the ER quite often...........

There are several hours every day when I stop drinking excessively, making me a binge tea-totaler I suppose.
I have to stop drinking for a week at a time when I am in the oilfield, so I drink twice as much when I am home.

You know what? I searched the web for the local retailers and I can't find it here.
Chicagoland is bound and determined to keep me dry.
Well I don't use a funnel to pour it into my face 'til it geysers out the nose hole anymore,
Now I just pour in glass and use a real slow delivery to my face with pinky extended.
Multiple times.

Being a Celiac I can no longer drink the beer that I love so much.
So now it's Single Malt Scotch's from here on out, with Lagavulin being my favorite.
Got a hold of some real live award winning Absinthe earlier this year, that was a very wild ride!
Strange buzz, at 132 proof a bud and I finished off the bottle and could still walk. We were plastered but not stumbling or slurring, great stuff for the all night party scene.
I don't drink often, but when I do I like to catch a good buzz. Guess that makes me a bingie.

CELIAC DISEASE occurs in genetically susceptible individuals who eat these proteins, leading to an autoimmune disease, where the body’s immune system starts attacking normal tissue. This condition continues as long as these food products are in the diet.
I'm glad that it hasn't happened to me either. OTOH, being Celtic is enough of a challenge in itself.
Well I picked up a bottle of German beer for my weekly binge.
16 ounces of real beer. Mmmm.

the real question, though, is where'd ya get the absinthe?
