I'll be at the rig at or just before 0000 zulu, and will probably start on 40 meters, on or about 7.240, if anyone wants to give it a go.
Anyone here 60 meter capable? I've dabbled there a bit, don't care for the channelized BS, but it does offer slightly different propagation characteristics than 40 meters.
Hope to catch up with a few Islanders tonight.

Luke

Noisy up the band ... parked on 7188 at the moment. Put down the keyboards, and fire up the rig!
Generals are good down to 7175.

Love to but I'm not below 15 meter capable with my "Antwan 99" and MFJ tuner.
That was really nice, Luke, but ARGGHH!! That NOISE just came up 5-9+20.

Was thinking about you there Bill ... but I heard nothing but static on 10 & 15 here this evening. Just finished a nice chat with Ryan on 40 meters, but he had some local noise.
After that, I was called by VE2XPO, a special event station operating from the site of the '67 Expo in Montreal. A decent evening on 40!
Look forward to hooking up with ya Bill ... it'll happen soon enough if us old guys hang around that long.

Definitely a pleasure, Luke...
I have to track down this noise. Made a recording and I'm curious as to what it is.
I'll post it up and see if anyone knows.

Absolutely Ryan, you were booming in here! Not much noise here tonight, was good copy, but with some radical QSB.
Now if I could shake some of these other keyboard commandos up enough to do a little radio!
Enjoyed the chat Ryan ... & your signal sounded great, good soplid audio.

Your audio was nice too, given the noise and all.
I've been told I have a good signal on most bands that I work (40 and up). Being 800ft ASL helps a lot I guess.
Hopefully WHEN I nail this QRM, we'll have a proper QSO, uniterrupted. I find it odd that it came up after 8PM. It doesn't sound like a plasma TV, however.
