I hadn't planned on operating, but sometimes things just seem to work out.
Not a serious effort by any means, as I am NOT a CW person.
Made 69 Q's and 50 multis.
I may try for more later, but it is siesta time.
My beagle just LOVES sunday snoozes !!! (So do I !!!)
Except for K5D, these are my first CW Q's ever.
Congrats on your CW Q's!
I made 1286 Qs 192 mults for a total score of 740,736.
I only wish I could put more time into it.
I did 778 q's and 273 mults for 640k.
Ryan, it pays to be close to EU!
I never score these things. I made 78 qso's and logged 32 countries, not counting the occasional ssb qso when i was taking a break from all the tones in my head. I was really only looking for new ones and band countries. I did log K5D 3 times for an all time new one, and got a few new band countries out of the deal.
The first night was solid on 40! It seemed like it was coming back a bit, knowing full well it would pissout right after that...i look for these little indicators that its getting better. I was hearing ZL and JA's at 59+20 consistently. Lots of good signals, by sunday, it had mellowed out and i didnt find anything new to jump on that could hear me.
Im still jazzed that i finally nailed KP5/Desecheo...and after hearing the op say the name, i realized that i had been pronouncing it wrong for 25 years....its pronounced like you would say "Desitin", ive been saying it more like "pistachio". Learn something new.

Definitely does. I could basically have the beam fixed at 50 deg and run them all day/all nite.

I used to not score them but then I began angering people with dupes, so what I did was download N1MM and started entering the QSOs just to track dupes. Then I got bitten by the contest bug, and as they say, the rest is history.
Valid point, i used to enter these things all the time back in the 80's. I was part of a couple of big multi-multis and multi-singles. I did that before every trying to run as a SOAB. Im very careful not to dupe these days, if anything, just for my own logs...i dont need or want dupes either. But i guess i learned that from the old MM stations running paper logs and check sheets.
Eventually, i just narrowed my operating down to DXing, and contests are rich with treasure! In all fairness, i play by the rules and often times will work whoever is there just to be cool and give these guys some points...but as a DXer doing contests, im still excited by them and have check sheets and paper all over the desk when its contest time.
I have a logging program, but to this day, i have never puter logged while operating...i use it as a storage and reference tool for tracking. Im probably one of the last ops using exclusively paper logs while on air.
