Calling all FET gurus...

Cross-reference needed.

Dig through your old Motorola manuals and tell me what an SPF796 cross references.

It's a P-channel JFET; matched pair. But I don't know the "standard" part designation.

Motorola did this sh!t for OEMs...SRF2331 was actually a rebranded MRF458 and it was a special run for Heathkit.

Likewise, the -796...for Drake.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Exactly.

That's a Motorola house number..."Special Purpose FET"...no ready cross-ref. :-|
