Giving mom only a couple of hours. time to head to cincy.
I experienced much the same a few years ago when my Mom passed. It was very difficult. In my case, I had to make the call to stop any further attempts to revive her, against the wishes of both my brother and sister (I'm the eldest sibling). The doctors assured me that it was the right decision, but I still carry the burden of that decision to this day.
I wish you the best ... the entire experience is overwhelming, with funeral arrangements, and all the financial matters that must be tended to afterwards. And it all comes at you when you're so grief stricken.
My deepest condolences to you and your family.
Best Wishes,
Luke

DEY- condolences to you and I hope your mother passes peacefully.
Todd: We're getting old, brother. My Mom and Dad are 76 and 80 respectively, in good health, but I'm the point guy for "that call" when it comes...

We are all praying for you. Bless you and your family.
I wish you and your family all the best during this time.
I know it must really suck losing your mom, but the bright side is that her pain and suffering will end.

Thanx guys. Made it to cincy ok. Tough old bird. they only gave her a couple hours and she's still hanging on though unconcous. nurse says she's only breathing about 6 breath per minute, down from 8 earlier. doing what they call modeling in her posture and extremities turning blue and cooling down. She doesnt seem to wanna give up without a fight.
Does'nt seem to be in any pain but she wouldn't be able to communicate to us anyhoo. should be pretty soon. Been a hospice nurse here 24 hrs.
Sister and her OM are gonna have to try refinancing the homestead to take care of the arrangements. didn't go this long with my dad.

I don't know you guys yet, I'm new to the board but my prayers are with you. I lost my Dad a couple of years ago. It stays with you for a while. I still pick up the phone to ask him a question then remember that I can't. God bless and remember, she'll be in a better place. No pain, no sorrow just joy and peace.
God Bless,
