View Full Version : Kid's Day
Ok all you OF's.
Talk to 'em.
They tickle the hell out of me.
I think its name, age, qth and favorite color.
It's ok to extend the qso if you get a talker.
I always report Magenta...but have deviated a bit.
If you get a talker at a big station, prepare for a pile.

Have fun,

I tried to drum up some interest with this a couple years ago. No one up here seemed interested in it. They were too busy trying to set up the club station to play with on FD.
I got my daughter on the air for awhile till the band shut down for the day.
Used to get my son out here, but you know he's to big for the kid stuff routine these days.
One of the neatest qso's he had, I thought, was with a blind guy.
Have to look back in the log.
The guy kept reporting Corduroy as a color.
After about 3 tries, my son got it and said to him
"That isn't a color".
The guy said "Well I can't see and I have to feel things."
Shut my kid right up...I thought it was kind of cool.
We just looked at each other and my son said "OK Thanks".
Corduroy is in the log somewhere.
