View Full Version : I think I got it down
Don't pay that 5 Lander dude to help you. I think I can help out for under half his price!
Okay, I'll do it for free.
You need a password. If you don't have one, you need to apply for a PSQ Personal Security Question.
Then you can reset your password and get moving on the ULS screen.
Good luck.
I still don't understand WHY people pay to renew their license (unless it's vanity).
It's so ridiculously easy.
I paid once to change my address but then I realized that I could do it myself on ULS.

Well for mental retards like me, it is not so easy. But last night, I decided I would apply for some vanity calls and I was not going to pay someone else to do it. It took me a few hours, and I got it done, I hope.

But last night, I decided I would apply for some vanity calls..........
WTF?!?! You have a prized "X-RAY" call and you are applying for something else?!?! STEEEMPY..... YOU FOOL!

nah. Not for me. I was getting calls for my kidz. $41.60 for the 2 of them.
WTF? My youngest son (Nate) wants N8 (Nate, get it?) WTF.
Jason is a gangsta. He is shooting for K1LLA.
I felt sorry for Nate. He ended up with Kansas City Nine H-I-C. As if he has the FCC rubbing it in that he lived in hick town near Kansas City for all those years. Those heartless Federal Communicating type persons.
I had to do something.
I think both of them are fans of Jerry here. Jason was wanting a K1 call like Jerry, and Nate wants a call from the eighth district like Jerry's.
Me? I will forever be a fan of Danno and remain XR. :o

So are you saying there is a fraternal order of WTF'ers?
WTH?
Well, we should have on here in the household soon.
I hope they will like these.

K4WTF - John
W4WTF - Tim
W1WTF - Steve
and, are you ready for this? KG4FOY has submitted a snag request for W2WTF!
I will tell Nate about this. Quite a crowd.
Thanks for the insight. So are you going for the 3 call?

Nah, I'm a cheap old sod....... I still have about $300 worth of QSL cards to go through before I consider changing my call.
I am even cheaper than that. I am sitting on $0 of N9XR cards.
But, man, all the cards I have to order now. We will probably go to the local toy store and pick up fill in the blanks.
Yeah.

See if this works.
The one on the left is Nathan, we are hoping foe N8WTF.
The one on the right is Jason, we are hoping for K1LLA.
It looks like there are 9 applications in process right now with the WTF suffix and 6 are expected to be granted.
One is a 2x3 though.
Looks like my son and FOY have their wishes to join the WTF club though. And Jason is on his way to be getting K1LLA.
Only a matter of time.

I haven't seen any WTF's up in Canada. I wonder if they restricted it. K1LLA is great. I can't help but smile when I see it.
Every now and then I look up K9DOG & KB1TCH for the same reason. ;)
BTW, is that Bushwich Av in your neck of the woods? There's a fairly famous (and infamous) Bushwick Av here too.

Nathan has the Jesse James salute down. Good looking kids.

Yeah Steve. You couldn't ask for better kids.
Another call I looked for after seeing Ryan's was N2POT. Someone is still using that one that was assigned to them. I remember some old lady at the FCC at one of my visits. She is probably dead by now. She was bragging that she got WB0POT legally.
One old guy, when I was a kid, was an advanced operator with the call W0HH. He had been working on the hospital Hope ship. Yeah. A long time ago, advanced operators could get 1x2's.
I looked up WO0KIE, and it was taken. Oh, and somebody snagged W0GI. I noticed a few months ago it was still assigned to Dave Fayman. But poor old Dave has been dead for over 2 years. W0GI was the call we always used at Field Day when I was a kid.
I hope the kids enjoy their new calls. Probably too late for the June VHF contest, but there are more VHF tests coming up.
