Never really tried Amaretto before this weekend. I was given a bottle for Christmas and finally got around to cracking it open.

Straight up it is ok. Pretty sweet, but nice flavor. Made a sour with it and it is fantastic. Nice combination of sweet and sour flavors. I am on my third one today. For a cheap date like me that is a lot.

Does drinking amaretto make me a girly man?

You know the answer to that one.

I was seeing a girl who was in the process of a divorce when I was in college. She was quite a lush. She had whiskey, amaretto, beer, and some smokable stuff. I tried the amaretto. It was quite sweet.

Never had it again. My wife is not big on liqueurs. She really does not drink much alch-at-all.

Drink what you like. If it makes you look like a girly man, so what? Now if it makes you feel like one, then you might reconsider.

Did you see "The Departed"? The part about the Cranberry juice? I love that stuff. I order it on the airplane because it quenches my thirst without filling me up. But i have to think about the movie when I ask for the stuff. I just have to laff to myself about it.

Not as far as I'm concerned. The only drinks that will qualify are a 'Shirley Temple' or a Kahlua with Cream (one of my ex's faves).

Kahlua with Cream

Say it ain't so! I almost like that as much as a Bailey's on ice for a night cap!

Well hell, at least it's not a shot of gentlemen’s relish on the rocks.

A good imperial stout is the night cap.

That's just me associating it with the ex-XYL and her friends. Personally, I always liked Bacardi or Scotch. Slow Gin is considered an old womans drink, but sometimes if it's made right, there's nothing like a Slow Gin-Fizz.
