View Full Version : 6 was REALLY open this evening
Yup... 6 was open coast to coast this evening..I was hearing ststions from 1 and 2 land as well as a bunch of VE2s and VE3s.
Couldn't break the pileups tho :(
BUT..connected with Duncan on 20. He does NOT sound or act like a teenager.

Yep, that's what I hear, but didn't.
Because I was too d@mn dense to hook the coax up to my transceiver!
I did get a lot of work done though. Pffft.

I need to put up an antenna for 6m, we have a 6m beam at the EOC, just haven't put up the tower yet.

THE BAND IS REALLY OPEN!
0002 UTC.
GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN!
initially it was a double hop to the south. with YV's, LU's etc...then the midwest. I'm hoping for a west coast opening just a little later.
ON EDIT: This band really pisses me off!
Hey, I can't get mad at the xyl for sending me to the store... "Hey honey, hang on a minute, 6m is open, that stuff can wait!"....So it must be the band, right?
This happens every time 6m opens up... I'm beginning to think all that extra 50Mhz RF in the air, triggers her memory.
My 6m (and 10m-40m) antenna is on the ground unfortunately. Down for repairs. :(

Yea Ryan, I was real excited.
just worked hi3tej on 6 a minute ago.
the signals to the south are rising here now.
That one was really neat because I worked the Dominican station exactly 2 years ago to the day and almost to the hour. Neat stuff.
Tell Chris I said hi.
He's reliable with QSLing once you include 2 USD, but just be aware that with the postal strike, it may take a while to get a reply QSL.
