Elephant Stew
1 elephant (med. size)
2 rabbits (optional)
Gravy
Salt
Pepper
Cut elephant into bite size pieces (takes about 2 months). Add gravy to cover; salt and pepper to taste. Cook over kerosene fire for about 4 weeks at 465 degrees. This will serve 3,800 people. If more are expected, 2 rabbits may be added, but do this only if necessary as most people do not like to find hare in their stew.

Luckily, here in Virginia any animal that doesn't have a season or limit has a continuous open season with no limits, and elephants are not listed. Next time I see an elephant while I'm out an armed I'll try your recipe and give you some feedback on it. The only problem is http://www.city-data.com/city/Wise-Virginia.html lists my town's population as 3255, so can this be frozen for later use? Also, are there any differences in taste between Asian and African elephants?

Hmm some dinner... grilled cheese for me tonight.
It's "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott
Glad you explained that one I sure wasn't going to ask but you can't expect a 52 year old to know that. Heck I have difficulty recognizing the old guys now that they have no hair and are fat and wrinkled. I didn't recognize Peter Frampton without his hair in the Geico commercial

I would have guessed it was any ham operator from Georgia under the age of 60 actually. Oooops, no, never mind, I guess that is genuinely long hair and not a damned mullet.
