Re-reading Slaughter House Five for the first time I read it in '74. Always a wonder to re-read a book after so many years to see how different it looks so many year after.
One of the expressions that Mr. Vonnegut uses a lot (at least in the first few pages, is "Just an an old fart with my memories and my Pall Malls." This time around, BOY, can I relate to that!!! :-D;)
I'd spent the day in Boston, where I went to college and experienced mucho life, and most of the time I was "comparing and contrasting" what I was seeing with what I knew in the 60's. Needless to say, very little of what I knew and loved was left. Then, to read Mr. Vonnegut's words....
