Marinate the ribs (also works well with pork roast for pulled pork) for 3 hours

Marinade
3 - 12 oz cans of coke
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon fresh crushed garlic
1 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper

BBQ Sauce

leftover marinade
caramel sauce
tomato paste
balsamic vinegar

Combine the leftover marinade with the caramel sauce, tomato paste, and balsamic vinegar.
Boil for 15 minutes to kill off any bacteria from the raw meat, then reduce to a simmer and let it reduce to a thick sauce.

Pour sauce over ribs before serving

For pulled pork, mix the sauce into the pulled pork.
