Timonium, Mar. 26-27. (http://www.arrl.org/hamfests/maryland-state-convention-greater-baltimore-hamboree-computerfest)

It's a big one and it's kinda central to a bunch of us here. How's about a big Island turnout for that one?

It's both Sat. and Sun., which makes it pretty certain I'll be there because I don't really do 7 day weeks, so I'll have either Sat. or Sun. off.

Damn, I'm actually off on Saturday of that week---that never happens. 160 or so miles...I might be able to do this one. Saturday only though, have to be back in my cage by Sunday afternoon.
Never been to Timonium before...

Hadn't planned on it, but this is incentive.

Let me check and see if anyone else from the area is heading down there.

I'll also have to check with the boss... the kids have been bugging us to come down to Alexandria to visit one weekend, so that may already be scheduled...

Oh-oh. Those are words that almost guarantee you'll go home with a nice pretty box with knobs. Hell, I get in trouble even when I DON'T take a chunk of change -- there's always an ATM somewhere & sellers are glad to hold what they have til you get back with the money.

Maybe festers should have a special AA (Amateurs Anonymous) rooms..."Hi, I'm Paul and I'm an Amateur Radio Operator." (murmuring from the crowd)..."Hi, Paul."

There's a conflict with this date. There's also one in Middletown, NY, and, today, I'm thinking I'll be going to that one. That is, unless there's at least one other Islander willing to commit to Timonium, in which case I'll be in MD. Besides....the drive down there at that time of the morning will provide a nice opportunity for some sweet 75m mobiling!

Sorry, I have to bow out as well. The XYL's birthday is tomorrow, and her parents are taking the family out to celebrate on Sunday morning. And I have just too much to do around the house this weekend; I'm probably not going to even get on the WPX contest much if at all.
