just how would someone know if their upgrade where being questioned by the FCC?
I asking becuase some jerk made wonder after he threw a silly accuasation that my recent upgrade was being questioned

If it was your upgrade to General, it's already posted on the FCC's ULS site, effective Feb. 26, 2007.
To navigate there, look up your call on QRZ, then go to "Detailed Info", then click "ULS Listing" following the header "FCC".

Tommy Tubes said I said /AG but the the group was pissing around trying to confirm my status.
Tommy told 'em to shut the f up and give some real feedback.

I know it was BS it just made curious about the process is all given iwhat I was acuused of doing (and given that one of the VE's was female well what I was accused of doing was imposible)
It just made curius in eneral about the process the FCC would use if their was a real case

Reminds me of the time back in the 90s, when an acquaintance of mine, Jenny, KC5GNI was first licensed. It was purely the luck of the draw that she was issued 'GNI -- which could be pronounced "Jenny" -- yet she caught grief from an old pfhart on one of the local repeaters. She was accused of being a bootlegger. Luckily, there were others around to vouch for her.
Is this what we now have to look forward to, curmudgeons farking around, making unfounded accusations when someone upgrades? What, if I upgrade to Extra, some jackass is going to start talking smack about it? I've played with RF in one form or another for over 30 years now.
If I ever get this damned crotchety on the air, someone shoot me. :-?

You go to a local exam session, take an exam, and they do the paperwork for you.

OKAY THANKS BUT I DONT NEED TO TAKE NO EXAM. I CAN JUST TELL THE FCC THAT I KNOW HOW TO OPERATE A RADIO. I WAS ON CB FOR TEN (10) YEARS AND HAVE BEEN ON THE HAMRADIO AND AM GETING THE HANG OF HOW TO WORK IT. SO I ALL READY KNOW HOW TO DO IT AND DONT NEED TO TAKE A TEST TO PROVE I CAN WORK A RADIO SET. MAY BE THEY WILL JUST SEND ME THE LISENSE AND SKIP TAKEING A TEST SINCE I ALL READY KNOW HOW TO DO IT. THANKS CHUCK W1CD NEW HAMRADIO CALL SIGN

The rules are the rules. The Government says you need to take a test or no license for you.
Just like the Government says you have to take tests and get a CDL before you can drive a truck, it's the same thing with radio.
