I tasted some of the first 17 year old stuff you scroll down to from the top just now and it's unbelievable. I don't think this can be had in the USA. A friend got some from a friend who visits Scotland every year.
This changes my view of single malt scotch. This stuff is fantastic.
Unbelievable spicey, mildly oaky, somewhat fruity flavor which melds into this wonderful silky, smokey, peaty finish.
YUMBO!

If I ever make it to Scotland, I will try to give it a try.

In grade school, a friend of mine had a cool name. He had a land for his first and last name. He was Scott Engel.

Did his parents name him this way? No not exactly. He was actually adopted into the Engel family.

I was just informed this can be purchased through Illinois on line in the USA. A mere $76/btl, plus shipping.
