It was small but there was a disproportionate wealth of some great BA's there. I saw a Vailant, an HQ-170, and a beautiful custom, inside and out, DX-100. None were marked with prices -- I'd guess that there were some fancy asking prices on them. There was also a very nice 80 & 40 meter xtal controlled 6146 transmitter. The asking was $60 and I probably would have gone for it if I could use it. It was very well made -- plus I'd guess that the PS would have been good for my AF-67.
But on to the custom DX-100. The guy had done a custom paint job on the front panel -- pretty much Apache/Mohawk colors and put on the chrome knobs from them, too, and put it in an Apache/DX-100B cabinet. The knob layout was the same as a DX-100 including the VFO window, but he said it was custom inside, too. As nice as it was, I'm sure that one, too, had a very "custom" asking. Or maybe it wasn't for sale. It wasn't on the guy's table but in a box in the tailgate of his car. Anyone else ever seen this?
Also saw an Electro-Voice 664. The guy was asking $45 and said it "might need work", that kinda killed the lukewarm interest I had for it.
I bought a very, very unusual and unexpected item. The case looks like a pack of Marlboro's, but with green instead of red, and the green was NOT the same as the green Marlboro's here. It also has block letters stating,
"HUT THUOC GAY UNG THU' PHOI.
About all I know about it.
