My area of the country is the most culinarily dead in the whole USA:

http://consumer.darigold.com/DarigoldUnsaltedSweetCreamButter.html

This outfit is supposed to be top quality yet they put flavoring in their butter. I'll bet if you called them some airhead woman would say it's all natural butter flavoring.
That's like putting milk flavoring in milk sweetheart.
These idiots are now on my never never list.

I shot 'em an e mail:

Flavoring in butter!? You people are 100% Mickey Mouse. You need to team up with Orowheat, another outfit that slips oddball ingredients into their products.

I'm originally from PA and visit the folks back there every year. We used to buy Arnold brand bread because it was top notch quality, but about 2 years ago I decided to look at the ingredients on a loaf I bought. I couldn't believe all the crap including artificial sweetener that was NOT advertised on the front label. Then I noticed the Orowheat logo on the bag. They were bought out.
I was PISSED, and unloaded on the woman who took my call by phone. I told her if you're gonna use artificial sweetener you say so up front on the label, and I mentioned I knew Orowheat was a Mickey Mouse outfit from my experience with them out west.

They use flavoring as well. Bread flavoring I'll bet.
