Oktoberfest!

Since my kids are attending the German language school we get into the Oktoberfest for free this year. The kids are singing as part of the festivities.

Was fun last night, but I could not partake of the beer as the in-laws were there and I promised not to start a debate with them over the evils of alcohol. Tonight is another matter, planning on enjoying a mug of Spaten Oktoberfest and a plate of sausage.

Anyone have an Oktoberfest near them?

went to the Oktoberfest here the end of Sept. Had the Spaten Oktoberfest with bockwurst and German potato salad. Got the fancy, made in Germany, mug and it's in my collection on the kitchen cabinets now. Try the Weissbier. It has a clovey/banana spiciness to it and is unfiltered.
Today was the Italian festival in Coeur d'Alene. All the Italian wine (samples) one could drink for free.
