Recently picked up a working (and semi rare) Ten Tec 2591 2 meter HT. Yes, amazingly enough, it works! (Not bad for a 25+ year old rig!)

Unit came with the car adapter but no batteries.

I'm looking for battery packs (cases) for it. Even if the NiCads are dead... it's the cases I need (I can get replacements for the NiCads).

I know this is a longshot but...

If anyone has some sitting around on a shelf or in a desk drawer collecting dust, let me know what we can work out. I only need one or two for myself; if more are available, I know another ham (K3SGT) in a similar predicament.

Thanks!

They've got them, it looks like. For $27 or so.

I think he's looking for the plastic case around the batteries. You've already posted on the Ten Tec reflector. :agree:

Got blasted with 12VDC by many ham handed hams, maybe you will get lucky, Ron...
What causes processor death in the 2591 handheld Ten-Tec VHF transceivers? (http://tentecwiki.org/doku.php?id=2591proc)

You might try a want on QTH. I've found and sold some less than common stuff on there. You just might find someone that has an extra bp in their sock or undies drawer.

That's the NiCads themselves. I need the case to put them in.

Oh well, someone will turn up with one, sooner or later.

I knew about that. After all, I used to sell them.

The "info" wasn't so much for you, as it was for orange dot fetishism in general. ;)
Hopefully, somebody will have a dead "freebee".

Actually found the incredibly rare Omni D noise blanker board on there, to make mine became "fully loaded".

I've seen two of those TTHH on ebay in the last two months. Same one? Search ebay every couple of days. One will turn up. The battery case that is.
Never know what will show up.
