I'd love to post an Uncle Ruckus video but, for all its sharp wit, it is too racist and not everyone would understand the point.

The Boondocks (http://www.adultswim.com/shows/the-boondocks/index.html)... outrageous and highly recommended.
Many amusements on [adult swim] (http://www.adultswim.com/)
YouTube search on Uncle Ruckus (http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Uncle+Ruckus&aq=f), NSFW, Rumpus, etc. Here's a milder one:

That would be news to me. I'm still waiting on some example of this malware he claims to have encountered. :-?

I was in Costco just a bit ago. I encountered lots of malwear there. Within a few minutes I found myself in full favor of the theory that underlay the burka.

The "False Equivalency" card.
Well plated.

Google uncle ruckus, click the image that shows someone in the courtroom shouting "That n*gg*r is guilty".

When the chit hits the fan I shut down, restart in safe mode, then use system restore to an earlier time.
I didn't savor all the red ink.

Ahh, you "googled images" not just "googled".
That might find the bad touch quickly, right there.

No, it's there. I'm at the site now.
I'm getting some BS about my computer being infected, then it tries to show me it's scanning my "C" and "D" hard drives (I have 3 drives and about 6 partitions between them), gives me all these warnings about all kinds of shit it supposedly found, etc.
The funny part is this:
I'm using Linux, so there's no such thing as a "C" or "D" drive.
When it's supposedly "scanning" my system, there's no disk activity.
I'm getting a message about "Windows Defender has detected spyware", even though I can't fathom how WD is running on a Linux box in the first place (it's not).
The list of W32 viruses it supposed found can't possible run under Linux in the first place and neither can the setup.exe file that this site (http://erethho.co.cc/t/promo/index.php) (warning!!! you don't want to click on the link unless you know you're well protected) wants to DL to my machine.
It's nothing more than a well done piece of social engineering designed to make you install a worm on the machine (the setup.exe file in question). If you're stupid enough to do that, well, you get what you deserve IMHO. :slap:
I'm going to go down to the shack and try this on one of my "sacrificial lamb" Win boxes to see what happens. Should be fun. :chin:
See the attached screen capture.

Nothing like pure Panic Mode, eh?
BTW, there are plenty of spyware and malware programs out there that hide in system restore files. No guarantees there either, genius.
Nothing to see boys and girls. My test on a basic Windoze box with AVG and MalwareBytes stopped whatever it is dead in its tracks. No infection, no harm.
Whoever they are, they need to try harder. :bfd:

Oh one of those effin' traps... I don't even register that crap in my brain as click-able.
I'm trying the new Panda AV/Malware "cloud" software on this laptop. It finds things fast when needed, very small overhead. I've tested it by clicking into troublesome areas of the net, and it works as it should... so far. :shifty:

You're not alone, Bill. Curiosity and a demented sense of humor add up to danger on the internet, and few of us are geeks by nature or desire. There really ARE evil bastards out there who wish you ill and want your money. I use Avast professional edition and found its early warning system works fairly well in alerting me when some nefarious villain lurks in an innocent looking site.

I'm too cheap for that. Looks like I'll have to cut back on clicking images.
(hopefully the non clicking ones will be OK)

AVG Free (http://free.avg.com/gb-en/download.prd-afg) was all I used to look at that "malware" site. Spotted the problem before it became one and wiped it out.

does it warn you in the google selection lineup before you click the url? I had that for 60 days with Norton when I bought the laptop. There was a green check mark next to the ones that were safe.

Google does that on its own. NO AV needed for that.
