Looking for a 2009 QRZ CD ROM Callsign database. Used is fine.

The item has been discontinued for 2010, and is no longer available.

Would also be interested in some of the older ones to complete the collection.

I know the data can now be downloaded direct from the web site after subscribing, but I want to examine the data for a project prior to committing to a subscription I may not be able to use as intended.

Thanks!

Which one of these were you wanting? (http://www.qrz.com/i/dlcatalog.html)

The .CSV is all I need. I just want to make sure that I can read the file correctly for what I want to do before I make a long term investment for the downloads.

In light of recent events, I would like to purchase the CD to avoid any unfortunate and untrue accusations later, if you get my drift.

Are you just needing the US database, Canadian or the whole enchalada?
Fcc and canadian database are free downloads from their prospective sites

Have you actually looked at the FCC download? It's ugly. I tried to figure out once, and it is ugly.

But I need more than just the FCC & IC databases.

I have it already, the actual data file is 125mb. the Canadian database is 14 mb. there is a program used with UI-view that uses them called fccserv.

I'm not sure what you're trying to do , but if AE7Q hasn't done it already , he could probably give you some time-saving tips . You can slice and dice the ULS info dozens of ways using the info on his website . Meanwhile , I'll ask the coffee crew tomorrow , and see if I can find the 2009 CD .

Thanks, I've already had some discussions with Dean and he's helped me out in the past with some US information.

It's the information for the rest of the world that's the problem.

Without going into the nitty gritty boring detail, I'm trying to do some automation of my QSL tasks. And if I can do what I want to do, I'll go ahead and get the annual subscription, it will be worth it. But I want to make sure that I can do what I want to do BEFORE I make that investment. Thus need for a 2009 or even a 2008 CD.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make Dayton in either of those years, and the contact who promised to pick one up for me forgot last year. (Different person asked in 2008, and he ended up not going at the last minute).

I've since found the Canadian callsigns online, but the format they're listed in is a little strange. That's going to take some massaging. And again, that only takes care of one other entity besides the US, there's a lot more to find...
