Alright I got to pondering a bit about my as of yet unrealized 74HC4066 Tayloe Detector based SDR projects.
I was looking at Multidem another software processing console and it seemed the author indicated a preference of a single microphone input on the Soundcard. Hmm that's interesting I was wondering about the processing of I/Q signals without the use of two stereo inputs. I had been thinking it might be simpler for quick and dirty receivers to just output mono to an input and then split the signals into two parts and shift their phase in the process. Sounds like it would increase the processing burden for the PC and the Soundcard. Interesting I wonder what is wrong with my thinking here. I have always been under the impression that most projects utilize stereo inputs probably for better separation of the signals.
Again I wonder what is wrong with my thinking here oh well too bad there isn't source code available for Multidem so I could, possibly sort that out...
What say you? how far off am I?

Some docs are available here too and the english help file is one source of the mono mic input suggestion...
